Embrace the Art of Ceramics

​​In the Spring of 2015, I decided to go back to school, literally and figuratively! Back to Northeast Senior High School in Fort Lauderdale where I graduated in 1967. Only this time, it was for the fun of it!
​
​NEHS had an adult education program and one of the non-academic classes being offered was ceramics — all levels from beginners to advanced! Having no idea what to anticipate, the instructor Wayne Pelke, gave a quick overview of what to expect during the next eight weeks and I haven’t looked back for a second. I instantly fell in love with hand building with clay. The class provided guidance and the instructor was there to encourage my creativity.

​Being creative with hand building has provided me with a new perspective of designing objects outside the box and challenged my abilities. My hope is that you will enjoy my work as much as I have enjoyed creating these various pieces.
